John "Johnnie" Carl Lapham

July 27, 1939 — August 17, 2025

John “Johnnie” Carl Lapham, was born in Seattle, Washington on July 27, 1939 to his proud parents Ida and Jack Lapham and older sister, Deanna Adams. He passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, with his beloved family by his side.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa “Popster”, brother, uncle, and friend. Johnnie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara Lapham; daughters Jeannie Bryant (and her husband Chris Bryant) and Julie Lapham; grandchildren Rachel Bryant, Anna Walker, Aric Walker, and Niklas Walker; his sister Deanna Adams and many nieces and nephews.

Johnnie proudly served in the National Guard and spent over 40 years as a dedicated machinist, known for his strong work ethic and steady hands. Outside of work, he embraced life with passion and creativity. He found joy in fishing, camping, gardening, wood carving, painting, watching and going to wrestling events, telling tall tales and building intricate model airplanes and train village. He loved animals and had many pets through the years, as well as having a farm full of animals. He loved cars, trucks, and motorcycles — and he passed that enthusiasm on by teaching his daughters how to ride motorcycles. He was one of the luckiest people you could ever know. Besides winning stuff all the time, he had luck in all areas of his life. He just kept on like the energizer bunny, taking a licking and kept on ticking.

A true family man, Johnnie lived his life for those he loved. He was generous, kind, and had a wonderful sense of humor that could light up any room. He was spirited, adventurous, and never lost his zest for life — with just the right amount of wild side to keep things interesting.

Johnnie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
