Penny Eileen Christman Austin passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025. Originally from Beloit, Wisconsin she was born to Richard and Cora Christman on February 2, 1948. She was the second of seven children. Penny’s family later made their home in Washington, where she grew up and graduated from Snohomish High School in 1966. On December 4, 1966, Penny married Dennie Austin, in Seattle Washington. Together they built a life and raised their four children in Arlington Washington. Soon after, she found her calling in cosmetology—teaching others not only the art of beauty but the confidence that came with it. Penny was a quirky woman of many talents—a true artist whose oil paintings reflected the same color and heart she brought to life. She was a lifelong genealogist, delving to the past to find connections to her ancestry. Uncovering forgotten stories and researching her family tree brought Penny true joy. Penny had an extraordinary knack for seeing the best in everyone. Always ready with a kind word and an open heart to those who needed it, she would make those around her feel seen and valued. Her family and friends will forever remember her gentle wisdom, laughter, and the light she brought into their lives. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and creativity that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
